7 Years Ago (April 17th)

I've had lots of pictures pop up on my timehop from this special weekend 7 years ago!

This was the day that Trevor asked me to be his wife! :)
We were babies!! And we were so in love! I have to say though, each and every year I fall more and more in love. We have both changed so much these past 7 years and I am so thankful that through it all we support each other and encourage each other. We embrace the change and love each other more on the other side.

It was the most perfect day up until that point in my life. We have experienced several other AMAZING days since then, but this was the start! I LOVE YOU TREVOR!!!

First Trimester - Baby #2

1st Trimester Overview

January 4th - April 11th

When I was pregnant with Brooks I wrote down crucial info each week and took weekly photos, so far with this one, I started to do all those things, but I eventually got so far behind I gave up. So, here is a true overview of what's been happening over the course of the 1st trimester.

Baby Size: If I'm being honest, I copied and pasted these from my blog about my first trimester with Brooks :)
Week: 5-Appleseed, 6-Sweetpea, 7-Blueberry, 8-Raspberry, 9-Green Olive, 10-Prune, 11-Lime, 12-Plum and 13-Peach

My Symptoms: This pregnancy has been sooooo different! I was a little nauseous with Brooks, but nothing ever led to throwing up. Well, this one has led to throwing up on multiple occasions. I am EXTREMELY tired! Thankfully, the first few weeks when I was really battling nausea and tiredness, Brooks wasn't crawling yet. So I would lay next to him and play with him. With Brooks, I found a couple staple items that would work in the morning if I wasn't feeling well. However, this one is different every.single.day. Something will sound really good on Monday and on Tuesday it is the grossest thing I have ever seen. So bizarre. I had a stomach bug for two days mid-March. It was brutal! I knew it was different than just morning sickness. Trevor was such a champ. He had to work and get things done and watch Brooks while I just tried to survive. haha! I have also had a couple scares so far that had us going to see the doctor every week to check on baby. Thankfully, nothing is wrong with baby, but no one ever figured out why I was having certain symptoms. I'm just thankful they have mostly subsided and baby checks out great!

Weight: We don't have a scale at home, so the only chance I have to weigh myself is at the doctor. I have actually stayed my same weight. I probably would have gained a few pounds, but since I have been nauseous and throwing up, that probably kept the weight down.

Gender: We ARE finding out with this one! Hopefully we will find out at my next appointment on May 3rd.

Names: We have pretty much decided on names whether it's a boy or girl, but I'll wait to share those until after we find out the gender.

Maternity Clothes: Nope.

Movement: Since I kind of already know what I'm feeling for, I have felt little flutters a couple times when I lay down for bed. I'm excited to feel movement again. That was one of my favorite parts of being pregnant with Brooks.

Sleep: Sleeping good! I usually get up once or twice already to pee, but I easily fall back asleep.

Cravings: The only thing I crave, which I realize is not great, is a Diet Dr. Pepper from Sonic. Yes, it must be from Sonic. I crave one of these daily! I try not to give in daily, but it happens occasionally.

Work Outs: Before I found out I was pregnant, I was working out a lot. Then, the sickness and tiredness kicked in and I was done. Plus, with the complications I have been experiencing, I was told to not work out. So, now I don't feel so bad that I haven't. I do chase my 9 month old around the house all day, so I consider that a work-out. Also, carrying him up and down stairs all day is no joke!

Best Pregnancy Moment: Telling our friends and family. Most people knew we were trying when we got pregnant with Brooks. Well, this one happened so fast no one expected it. Not even us! So, it's been fun truly surprising people. :)

Goals for next trimester: To enjoy every moment. The first trimester wasn't exactly enjoyable, so I'm praying the second will be as good as my first pregnancy.

Thoughts: When we first found out I was a bit surprised! ha! I was super excited about it right away, but it took me awhile to really get used to the idea of having two. Now that I have had time to process, I am SO excited for my two babies to be so close in age. I know the first months will be hard and overwhelming, but it will be so worth it! I cannot wait to see Brooks as a big brother and I can't wait to find out if baby #2 is a boy or girl.

Brooks is 9 Months!

Brooks is getting so big! I absolutely love watching him grow, talk more and learn new things every day!

Here are the new things Brooks is doing this month!
*Our biggest milestone is CRAWLING!!! I love watching him crawl down the hall and throw a toy just so he can go get it. He officially started crawling on March 25th (8 months 24 days old)!
*The day he started crawling he was able to go from a crawling position to sitting up. I was a little worried he would get stuck sitting up in his crib, but he was able to lay himself back down too.
*Brooks started pulling himself up to his knees a couple days after beginning to crawl. He won't go all the way on his feet yet.
* Because of all his new tricks, we decided it would be best if we lowered his crib.
*He is always making all sorts of new noises and a lot of spit!
*He started holding his own bottle which has been GREAT! I still like to cuddle him sometimes when I'm feeding him though.
*This was also a big month for me and Trevor because we went on a 6 day trip without Brooks. We all survived! :) I don't even think Brooks knew we were gone.

The weather has been pretty nice this month, so we have gone on lots of walks.
We went on a picnic with dad

8 months 8 days

Brooks loves food! He will usually eat whatever we put in front of him.

I LOVE HIM!
We had a play date with our friends Graham and Parker
This kid loves being outside, I am soooo thankful for the beautiful weather.

8 months 22 days
Such a big guy!
Brooks got a new toy to play with :)

Progress on our home! (March 26th)

We are so thankful for family so close by! Brooks went to the store with his Aunt Lauren, Uncle Tyler and cousin Jude!

I have a feeling these two are going to get in a lot of trouble together. :)

Too much fun!!

He's precious!

8 months 29 days

Pulling up on things but only going to his knees. I'm not sure I'm ready for him to stand yet!
We found this hat that I know my late grandpa would love!
I love watching him try new things! Banana is on the top of the list.
He spills more on his lap and in his bib than what he successfully gets in is mouth.

Seriously, each and every month gets better and better. I love introducing him to new things and new people. He is a charmer! His smile is contagious and he seriously makes me laugh 100 times a day. I am so thankful that I get to be his mama. LOVE YOU BROOKS!

March Date Nights

For those of you that are just joining, Trevor and I decided when our son, Brooks, was born that we were going to implement a date night every week. We knew that a baby would definitely change things and time together was one of those; so we wanted to combat that with a date night every week. We switch off each week on who is going to plan the date, so one person doesn't always get stuck doing it. My love language is quality time, so it definitely keeps my love tank full (read the Five Love Languages if you are not familiar with that!)!

March was filled with a lot of fun! So here we go...

March 2nd: We were in St. Thomas, so I would consider the whole 6 days we were gone as date night! We had such a great time celebrating my brother and his beautiful bride! I also got to celebrate my 29th Birthday laying on a beach! Doesn't get much better than that!

March 9th: We went on a picnic! I planned this one. I packed some crackers, cheese and duck sausage (we have a plethora from Trevor's hunting last year) and we went to La Fortune Park and enjoyed the afternoon. There was a little more to this date than just a picnic. We REALLY needed our trip to St. Thomas, like REALLY needed time away! I have gone away on weekend trips and Trevor has too, but St. Thomas was our first time to get away without Brooks together. I didn't realize how important that was until we were on the trip and we're able to reconnect and rejuvenate. Soooooo...on our picnic, we started planning our next trip.

March 16th: We subscribed to Hello Fresh and decided to cook our first meal together. We made Lobster Ravioli and Shrimp!

And then we made s'mores for dessert! :)

March 23rd: We moved our date night to Tuesday. Trevor planned this one. He took me to Pei Wei (because I had been craving it for a week) and then he took me to an afternoon showing of The Shack. Seriously, such a good movie!

March 30th: PIZZA NIGHT! We went to the store and bought everything necessary to make a pizza at home.

Hopefully this gives you some ideas for date nights and you can start something like this in your home! Trust me, it's worth it!!!

Here are more ideas if you are struggling:
Pinot's Palette night at home
Setting goals for your family
Make shakes at home
Play a game (wahoo, ping pong, mancala)
Go blueberry picking
Make a dessert
Have a water balloon fight
Decorate coffee mugs
Watch a favorite TV show
Pick a country and make a meal based on that country
Go see a movie/movie night in the park
Go to a concert
Plan a day to go hiking
Make sushi together (this one wasn't easy!)

#TurnerintoaWeller WEDDING

Trevor and I just got home from our amazing vacation to St. Thomas to celebrate my brother and his new bride!

Trevor and I drove to Fort Worth on Tuesday, February 28th and stayed with some friends that night because our flight was out of DFW early on Wednesday morning. We made it to St. Thomas around 4:30 on Wednesday and officially got to our resort around 6.

Here is the view from our room. :)
The first night we were there they had a carnival/show on the beach, so Trevor and I ate some dinner and then relaxed on the beach.

The next morning we slept in (Hallelujah!) and then headed to breakfast and the beach!

Koozie's for their guests!

Oklahoma made the map!!!

Hammock time!

I could totally get used to this!
That evening they had Karaoke on the resort, so of course I had to partake!

Even the groomsmen had a good time...Friends in Low Places of course!

I was super excited when Wes and Katy picked their wedding day because it was a day after my birthday. So, when they told us they were doing a destination wedding, I was really looking forward to spending my birthday in St. Thomas!
Here is the view I woke up to on my birthday! :)
Our view from breakfast

Birthday Selfie

We all took turns on this tricycle thing...it's wayyyyy harder than it looks!

I'm sure Trevor did most of the work! Thanks babe!!!

Wes and Katy on the tricycle

I was not a fan of this guy!
That evening was the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner for Wes and Katy.

At the rehearsal dinner, Wes and Katy made me feel so special by delivering this delicious dessert to me and singing Happy Birthday! They know the true way to my heart! <3
I had one of the best birthdays just relaxing on the beach and spending time with family.

March 4th was all about the wedding. We got up, ate breakfast and then Trevor was off with the guys and I was off with the girls. I got to lay out for about an hour before we started getting ready and then it was wedding on the brain.

We had a bridal suite that we got our hair/make-up done and got dressed.

I loved my hair!!!

Here are some BEAUTIFUL photos that the photographer took and has already shared!

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! I cannot wait to see the rest of the professional pictures!

My Speech
I hope the bride and groom don't mind that I'm sharing my speech on here...

I'M SO EXCITED TO BE HERE FOR YOU ON YOUR SPECIAL DAY
WHAT'S EVEN BETTER IS, I GET TO CELEBRATE YOU AND KATY ON THE WEEKEND OF MY BIRTHDAY
I'M WES' LITTLE SISTER, FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT DON'T KNOW
IT WAS JUST US TWO AND WE MADE A GREAT COMBO
WES WROTE ME A POEM ON MY BIG DAY
SO I THOUGHT I'D REPAY HIM IN THE SAME WAY
I LOVE THAT GROWING UP I HAD A BIG BROTHER LIKE YOU
WE HAD A LOT OF FUN THROUGHOUT THE YEARS, JUST US TWO
WE OBVIOUSLY HAD OUR BROTHER AND SISTER FIGHTS
BUT FOR THE MOST PART, WE WERE PRETTY NICE
I USED TO COME AND BOTHER WES WHEN HE WAS PLAYING WITH HIS FRIENDS
WHICH WOULD ANNOY HIM BEYOND ALL COMPREHEND
HE WOULD PESTER ME JUST BECAUSE HE KNEW IT MADE ME MAD
BUT, REALLY, I LIKED THE ATTENTION JUST A TAD
IN COLLEGE, I'M SO GLAD THAT YOU WERE AROUND
AT LEAST FOR ONE SEMESTER, TO GET MY FEET ON THE GROUND
I WILL SAY, THAT WAS ONE OF THE BEST YEARS
WE MOVED FROM BEING SIBLINGS TO BEING PEERS
YOU SHOWED ME ALL AROUND OKLAHOMA STATE
WHICH IS NOW A PLACE THAT WE BOTH COMMEMORATE
IT WAS THERE THAT YOU BECAME GOOD FRIENDS WITH TREVOR
EVEN WHEN HIM AND I WEREN'T ON SPEAKING TERMS, HOWEVER
THERE WAS ONE TIME YOU BOTH FOUGHT FOR MY ATTENTION
BUT IT IS A STORY LIKE THIS THAT IS NOT APPROPRIATE TO MENTION
AFTER COLLEGE, IT WAS TULSA AND THEN DC
WHICH IS JUST TOO FAR FROM FAMILY, I THINK WE'D ALL AGREE
BUT THERE YOU MET THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE
WHICH WE HAD TO WAIT FIVE YEARS FOR YOU TO ASK TO BE YOUR WIFE
IT'S BEEN PROVEN THAT KATY IS MORE OF A "WELLER" THAN WES HAS BEEN
WHICH IS PERFECT BECAUSE THAT MEANS SHE WILL FIT RIGHT IN
WE ARE SO EXCITED FOR YOU AND KATY ON THIS VERY SPECIAL DAY
WE ARE YOUR FAMILY, YOUR FRIENDS AND YOUR SUPPORT ALONG THE WAY
IF THERE IS EVER ANYTHING THAT YOU NEED
YOU CAN ALWAYS CALL US AND WE WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED
WE WISH YOU THE BEST IN THIS EXCITING NEW PHASE
WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH AND WE ARE HERE FOR YOU ALWAYS

You can view my brother's speech here!

The wedding was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and the reception was a blast! Wes and Katy, you know how to throw a great party!

Sunday was our last full day on the island, so we decided to take a ferry over to St. John. We had heard that St. John has some of the best beaches EVER, so we had to check them out. They did NOT disappoint!

We took a cab to Red Hook and then hopped on the ferry at Red Hook. Once we got to St. John we booked a "cab" to take us around the island.

Looking back to St. Thomas

So pretty!

There were horses, donkeys, chickens, iguanas, etc just wandering the streets!

Trunk Bay....seriously, one of the most beautiful beaches I have EVER seen! The sand was so fluffy!

This is looking back at Trunk Bay

We were told this is where Castaway was filmed! So neat!
We had such an awesome day at St. John!
When we got back to the resort we showered and Trevor and I had a nice dinner at Lobster Grille which was part of our resort and then had a relaxing evening.

The next morning we had to get packed up and ready to go, so we just ate breakfast and enjoyed a relaxing morning.
We had a friend outside our door the last day!
We have officially made it home and are already missing island life just a tad. I was SOOOOOO excited to see Brooks today though! He made coming home a whole lot easier! :)
