#DrinktoHinck

This past weekend I was off to Chicago to celebrate one of my dear friends, Nichole! The future Mrs. Hinck! Here are some highlights from our trip!..

I left Friday morning and arrived in Chicago around 11. I met up with the girls that already arrived and we went on an architecture tour by boat. It was a really neat tour but it was HOT!

After the architecture tour we walked to Millennium Park to check out the bean...a staple item in Chicago you have to see!

Next up...Blow By Blow Blow Dry Bar! It was fun to get pampered and have our hair done.

After, we came back to the hotel and got ready for the evening.

We ate dinner at RPM Italian. It was delicious!

But first, a stop at the Firehouse. ;)

Late that night we had a little shower for Nichole.

Saturday morning we got up and ready and headed to brunch at the Willow Room.

We did a little shopping and walking around and then headed to the beach.

We had a few things planned Saturday night so we got ready back at the hotel and then headed to dinner at Lou Malnati's.

Such delicious pizza!!

My beautiful roommates for the weekend.

Then we headed to the Second City comedy show. Not my favorite, but we had a good time.

We ended the night and weekend on the top floor of the John Hancock building.

So neat!!

It was such a fantastic weekend with a fun group of girls. Being 28 weeks pregnant at a Bachelorette party doesn't seem too ideal, but I had an absolute blast! Chicago was beautiful and there is so much more I want to see now. I'll be back for sure. Congrats Nichole!!! I hope you had a fabulous time. Next time I see you, you will be walking down the aisle to the man of your dreams!

Nichole's Bridal Shower

MY BEST FRIEND IS GETTING MARRIED AND I COULDN'T BE MORE EXCITED!!

This past weekend I flew to Houston to celebrate one of my best friends. She has found the man of her dreams and they are tying to knot in November. I am so honored to get to be a part of their special day. I am also so thankful that I was able to get away for the weekend so I could attend her Bridal Shower.

We had such a fun and relaxing weekend. When I got in town I got to meet Stephen's mom and we all went to dinner and chatted the night away.

On Saturday we attended the Bridal Shower, went to see Nichole and Stephen's new house and then headed to Nichole's parents house to swim and hang out. Her parents had a shrimp boil and made the most delicious dinner! Thank you Nancy and Dennis for your wonderful hospitality!

All the bridesmaids minus Candice

While I was away for the weekend, Brooks's cousin Jude celebrated his 2nd Birthday, so Trevor took Brooks to the Train Celebration!
Such cuties!

My flight was pretty early on Sunday, so we just woke up and headed to the airport. It was definitely a quick trip, but it was such a great weekend. I loved getting to see and hang out with one of my best friends. I loved getting to meet and chat with Stephen's mom, Kim. I loved getting to celebrate Nichole and the exciting things happening in her life right now. And I loved getting to be around Stephen and Nichole! They are so kind, patient, understanding of each other. I know their marriage will be a true success and they will live happily ever after.

On top of everything happening in Nichole's life right now - wedding planning/shower/lots of family in town/buying a house/etc, she was SOOOO sweet and got Brooks a Birthday present! Check out this sweet towel that her mom made!
Nichole, I am SO thankful to have you as a friend!! You are the best!

Brooks is 6 Months!

I have a 6 month old!!!! WHAAAT!!!! Seriously, this little boy has changed our lives. I can't remember what I did all day before him because I could probably just stare at his sweet face all day and be totally content now. I love that he is my little sidekick! It is the best job in the world getting to hang out with him all day.

The month of December went so quickly, I'm ready for life to slow down a bit (will it ever?). We absolutely love having this new addition to our family, he is perfect in every way! I love getting to experience new things with him and see him learn new things every day. I'm loving life being a mom. It is WAY better than I ever imagined!

Happy New Years!!! We absolutely loved everything about 2016, so we are excited to see what's in store for 2017. Bring it on!
