First Camping Trip!

Trevor has been wanting to take the boys camping for some time now, so the first weekend in October was the winner! Most of the dads in our lifegroup all went together! I think it was perfect camping weather! They expected it to be pretty chilly, but thankfully our tent is pretty warm and they didn't need most of what they packed! Haha! You should have seen the back of Trevor's truck! It was packed!!! And they were only making a 24 hour trip!

I'm so glad Trevor took some pictures when he was there! 

We knew the kids would be up pretty late by the time they drove to Green Leaf State Park, ate dinner, got the tent set up, etc, so I let the boys nap as long as they wanted that day. That was our first mistake! HAHA! Since they were well rested AND were so excited, our boys were up talking still at midnight! 

At 12:30am Trevor finally went back in the tent with the boys and they went to sleep! All of them ended up on an air mattress together even though Trevor brought a cot for himself. And I guess Rhett is a wild sleeper because Trevor was basically kicked all night long! Haha! 

Meanwhile, me and Holland had a really relaxing and wonderful time! 

The next day they went hiking and did all the fun things campers like to do! 
I wanted to do a couple things with pinecones in our house for decorating purposes, so I told the boys they needed to bring me home a ton of pinecones...apparently they didn't find any! 

I love our lifegroup and that we get to do fun vacations and adventures with them! These boys have the best of friends!

I think they all had a great time! When the boys came home all they talked about was going camping again, so I'd say the whole trip was a success! If they want to go again, the trip served it's purpose! Although he was VERY tired when he got home, I know Trevor had a great time too!

And I loved some one-on-one quality time with this girl, so I told them they could go back whenever they wanted! 

One day we'll all go as a family, but I'm honestly great with just the boys going right now and making those fun memories!! lol!
