4th of July!

Wow how this 4th of July has looked different than any other, but wow, how this has been the BEST yet!

We got released from the hospital on Sunday, so we were home for the 4th of July. Unfortunately for Trevor, Baby Brooks didn't sleep very well during his shift that first night home. When I took over he must have been so worn out from crying he slept like a rock. But we did manage to get some good sleep so we could enjoy the day.

Trevor was always really hoping for a 4th of July baby, so I had outfits and other things picked out for him and myself in preparation for a possible 4th of July baby. But being home on the 4th was WAY better than being in labor on the 4th. This way we got to really enjoy Baby Brooks the whole day!

We had our first outing, and decided to go on a lunch date. I couldn't have my favorite sushi rolls when pregnant, so Trevor took me for sushi! And it was delicious! We also had to do a grocery store run, so we put Brooks in the Baby Bjorn and he LOVED it!

My brother and future sister-in-law were still in town and were returning from the lake, so they came over with my parents for a bit. Check out these ADORABLE sandals my sister-in-law, Katy, crocheted for him! Melt my heart!

The grandparents are in heaven!

What a stud!

Winston absolutely LOVES my dad! He wasn't about to let him hold the baby and forget about him!

Uncle Wes and Aunt Katy

That evening our good friends, Shelby and Chapman, brought us pizza and we watched some fireworks from our backyard. We actually spent last 4th of July in Mexico with this amazing couple and we were just laughing at how different last year looked.
First holiday in the books!!
