MICHIGAN 2020!

Michigan is always my FAVORITE vacation of the year! We know what to expect and it's the most relaxing time, even with 3 kiddos! And my goodness, we needed a change of scenery! Haha!

We decided to leave about 10:30 at night. We like traveling at night because all the kids just sleep and our plan went perfectly! We kept the boys awake until we left so they were tuckered out, we fed Holland around 10 and then hit the road! We turned the dome lights off in the car so when we stopped for gas there wasn't a bright light on in the car. We decided to put Brooks in the very back since him and Rhett normally sit next to each other and usually pester each other. And this worked perfectly in case I needed to jump in the back and console Holland for any reason (which I did on the way home).

When the boys woke up in the morning we ate some breakfast and then we let them watch a movie on their new little DVD players.

I also came prepared with lots of books and Paw Patrol toys!

He's a mess! Haha!

AND WE MADE IT!!! We met my brother and Katy downtown for some lunch and then got checked in our house! Check out these CUTIES!!!!

As we all got situated in the house, grandma hung with the kids!

And we of course had to make a trip to beach that evening for sunset and ice cream!

We had to many deer hanging out by our house all week.

She's so cute!!

OUR FIRST BEACH DAY!!
You could say it was a total success! The kids LOVED the sand and loved the water!

Holland's 3 month photo!

We basically wore them all out so they could take a good nap so all of the adults could hang out for a few hours without chasing kids! Haha!

Every night is a good night for ice cream! Haha! We would usually eat a little dinner, walk to the beach or playground again and then hit up the ice cream place!

CUTIES!!

Another BEACH DAY!!!

It worked out PERFECTLY that our kids and my brothers oldest all napped at the same. The babies were on their own schedule which was fine, but it was nice to be able to put all the big kids down at the same time and get a little parent break while on vacation!

Plus, I'm sure the babies enjoyed having a little one on one time!

This is my FAVORITE ice cream that I can only get when we vacation in Michigan! Mackinac Island Fudge!

On Wednesday the guys went golfing with Brooks so I got a little quality one on one time with Rhett and Holland

And Rhett and Brynlee got some quality time.

That lighthouse is in so many of our pictures!

We had to hit up Captain Sundae for the famous Tommy Turtle and a boat ride!

Followed by the beach at sunset!

I pray these two always have the best relationship. On the way home I was walking with Rhett and he looked up at me and say "mom, I love bub." Music to my ears!

She's the best sleeper!

BEACH DAY!

Best dad! Boys on both arms!

I was slowly able to carry a little more each day! I carried this sweet thing all the way home and definitely paid for it the rest of the day!

We traded clothes when we found out I was having a girl and my SIL was having a boy and here they are wearing the traded clothes! So cute! I love that they are only 9 days apart!

On Thursday of our vacation my parents watched all the big kids and we went shopping with the babies! It was nice to eat a meal in peace, haha! And be able to shop without little hands touching everything.

There was this cute little store called Tip Toes and they had quite a few Usborne Books and More's books. Trevor's shirt matched the display! Haha!

On Wednesday during nap time, Brooks swallowed a penny! So for the rest of vacation we had to search through poo! YUCK! I made Trevor do it every time but I was there for moral support. We never actually found it. Brooks did poo a couple times and didn't tell us so it must have passed then. We took him to the doctor when we got home and thankfully there was nothing still in him.
Love this crew!

GAME NIGHT!! Every night we played Catan! Some of our competitive sides really came out during this! Ha!

Sleepy girl!

Our last beach day!

I of course had to get Holland a Holland shirt while shopping!

Our last sunset
Brooks spend a lot of time building this fort! Haha!

COUSINS!!! I love getting to vacation with family and I love that although we live far apart we are always going to make it a point to get all the kiddos together!
I can't believe it took me a month to finish this post! HAHA! I mean, I can believe it because life, but you know!

Thankfully the car ride home was great! The boys did amazing even though we drove through the day. They read books, watched a movie, slept, we played I Spy, listened to music. Holland was the only difficult one. She did great most of the way, but she definitely had her moments! Haha!
