DATE NIGHT - Chris Young Concert

Thanks to Trevor’s work, we were able to go to the Chris Young concert for free AND sit in the suites at the BOK! So.Much.Fun! We had never seen him in concert before and he was really good! We actually haven’t been to a concert in awhile, so it was a lot of fun to go and listen to music that we both enjoy. We are also so thankful for grandparents who watch our kiddos so we can still go on dates!

Before we headed to the concert we stopped in Welltown Brewing with some friends.

If you are looking for a fun date night idea...go to a concert! Go enjoy music that you both love!

DATE NIGHT - Ping Pong

Most of you probably don't know that Trevor and I are avid ping pong players. We used to have our ping pong table set up in our garage at our old house and we would play all.the.time! When we built this house we knew that setting up the ping pong table again would be a future thing for when we build a garage again (right now we don't have one). So, Trevor decided to somewhat rebuilt our ping pong table so we can play in our house! Haha!

We just got a new dining room table, so we took off and reattached some pieces so it would fit perfectly around our dining room table!

Most of the date night was spent on the assembling of said ping pong table, but we were able to squeeze in a couple games before we went to bed. The time away from the ping pong table has really affected me!! I LOST both games!!! Like, REALLY lost! I think it is fair to say I was better than Trevor before the time away from playing, but I am going to have to step up my game now! Trevor would probably be mad if I didn't share the first game score, so here it is...I only scored 7...yep, 7 points!

Anyway, all and all it was a really fun date night and it was so much fun to play again!!!

Rhett is 11 Months

I can't believe I am already planning this little guys 1st Birthday! Time passes so much faster with the 2nd and I have had my fair share of baby snuggles!!!

What has Rhett been up to?
*We have 6 teeth...and the biggest gap in the middle of his front two! Haha!
*He loves to crawl and get places on his own. If we try to hold his hands and help him walk, he will bend his knees and collapse so he can just crawl! Because we have concrete floors, he has the funniest crawl. It's like he has a peg leg. Haha! Once he hits carpet or a rug he crawls normally.
*He loves to play with cars or throw balls.
*He likes to destroy things. Ha! He just started putting toys away or back in a bin instead of just throwing them everywhere, but he still likes to throw things everywhere! He is seriously like a human tornado!
*We have cut him down to 3 bottles and would like to drop another one in the next couple weeks.
*He really just started to like table food. His favorites are cherrios, sweet potatoes and chicken. He's not really a big fan of baby food, he wants the real stuff, which is AWESOME!
*He is seriously the sweetest/happiest baby. He has his fussy moments when he is super tired, but most of the time he is content and smiling!

Here is our life in pictures!...
What Brooks is up to...
*He loves LEGOS.
*He is still doing really well at the whole potty training business. He has regressed a little, but we are letting him take the reigns on this one. I really didn't mind diaper phase! ha!
*He came up to me the other day with a new cup in his hand and literally said "mommy, where did this cup come from?" I mean, he is talking in COMPLETE sentences! I love it!!!

Brooks helps dad everyday feed and water the guineas. I can tell that they like Brooks and are used to him because when I walk up to them they fly off in a hurry. When Brooks walks up to them, they don't mind his presence. So neat!

We build a LOT of towers these days. Normally Rhett knocks them down before we complete them.

Little man is loving books these days. He used to just try to eat them or push them away, but now he loves looking at them and is entertained by us reading to him.

I had to include a picture of my sweet niece. We have a picture of her in our dining room and Brooks ask about baby Brynlee everyday. So sweet!

Someone else enjoys B's teepee too

I love his sweet duck tails!!

Baby snuggles

He loves pulling my hair too!

workout buddy

He is always getting himself into the weirdest predicaments.

Workout buds

bros

smooches

He's a true farmer now

Melt my heart!

I love all his faces...

Brooks had a bad cough a week or so ago, so we let him sleep with us one night because he was struggling. It was an interesting night to say the least! Ha!

Sleeps though anything, even a trip to Lowes!

box fun!

Sometimes we bribe him with ice cream to poop on the potty!! Haha! He also tells us every time he poops that it's not ice cream. I guess he feels the need to clarify that for us! HA!

What a fun month with these two! I'm so thankful that I get to hang out with them every day. Some days are harder than others, but there is no where else I'd rather be!

Date Night - Youtube Night!

Alrighty, I have been blogging every month about date night now for two years! That's crazy!! Some months are total grand slams, knock 'em out of the park, creative and fun dates. Some are, I'm so exhausted let's just sit on the couch and watch tv...maybe pop a little popcorn if we remember, kind of nights. Through it all, we're intentional!

But I'm changing things up a little. Instead of doing a big post at the end of the month with all the fun things we did that month, I'm going to do it individually. Why? There are two reasons. #1 I can barely remember what I did yesterday, so remembering something I did at the beginning of the month is a stretch! HA! And #2 no one really cares if we sat on the couch and watched Seinfeld for the 1,000th time. I'm assuming people are reading these to get the new creative ideas, so that's what I'm going to do. When we come up with something creative or fun, I'll post about it here!

So here we go with the first one. I totally stole this idea from a friend (thanks Bonny) and it was so much fun!

Here ya go...

The good things about this date:
*You will laugh so hard!
*You will get to reminisce (music video from high school/commercial from when you were born)
*You will get to talk about the future (a place you hope to visit one day)
*This will help you plan future dates (a movie trailer for a movie you want to see/skill you want to learn)
*Did I mention you will laugh!

See...it's a fun date! We also made a rule that whatever video we chose, we had to watch the whole thing. So, if it turned out to be a not so funny video, we kind of chatted during that time.

This is a snippet of one of the videos we laughed so hard at!
HAPPY DATING!
