May Date Nights

We have been going strong with date night 11 months now! I can't believe it's almost been a year! We have obviously gone on dates our whole marriage, but we were intentional about having a date night a week the day our son was born. It has honestly been the best thing ever! It's never too late to start!

Onto May...

May 4th: We were actually leaving for Kansas on May 4th to visit my grandparents, so we had our date day on the 3rd. We went downtown Tulsa on Wednesday for lunch because they have food truck Wednesdays. It was quite cold that day, but we battled it out anyway. Our favorite couple food trucks weren't there, so we ventured out and tried something new.

May 11th: We ended up moving this date night to Friday, the 12th, that week because my Mother's Day gift from Brooks Trevor was a date night to Pinot's Palette.

May 18th: We had a lazy night in. We have been watching the show Sherlock on Netflix and so all we wanted to do was lay in bed, relax and watch Sherlock. So, that is what we did. We were gone almost every night that week and Trevor was leaving that weekend to go to a bachelor party, so we were both great with a night in.

May 25th: We were both exhausted at the end of the day (it was a looooong day), so we moved our date night to Friday night, the 26th. We went to our house and found specific bible verses to write in each room of our home. We made the verses specific to go along with each room in our home. I think it will always be a great reminder to keep our marriage a priority, to raise our kids in a Godly home and to have hospitality to anyone who enters our home.

It's been a great month. We were able to leave town a couple times this month for different things, we had a lot of progress on the house, which is exciting, we are kind of wrapping up our season with Armor (that's for a different post) and we are loving the nice weather so we can be outside. I'm excited for some swimming dates coming soon!

Happy Dating...
