I'm pretty sure every person who witnessed the snow we had in December would agree that it was the best snow we've ever had in OK! I remember quite a few snow days as a kid, but nothing like this! We had the most fun with our kids that day! The whole scene was set so perfectly. I have one Sunday off every month and this happened to be my day off. I told Trevor the night before that if it snowed, I was deeming it a "family, play in the snow all day, kind of day"!
When we woke up in the morning, there was nothing! To be honest, we weren't surprised! We've been guarenteed snow many times in the past and most of the time it just doesn't happen or it's a little drizzle of snow. And then it started...
We ran outside, PJ's and slippers, because we honestly weren't sure how long it was going to last. It wasn't even considered freezing outside so we thought it would melt faster than it dropped! But it didn't! We ran inside and drank some hot chocolate to warm up our insides...(the first of many cups that day)!
And then we bundled up and headed outside! We literally spent the whole day outside! We came in twice to drink some hot chocolate, eat and throw our clothes in the dryer, and then we were back outside!
We got the ranger out as well and pulled the sled behind it which was super fun! I really enjoyed going on a few rides as well!
Holland was not a big fan like the rest of us!
We even built a snowman...or two or three! Haha! The perfect 2020 Snowman!
We decided to make it even more memorable and introduce the boys to the hottub! We jumped in there when Holland was sleeping to warm up at the end of the most perfect snow day!
This is definitely a day I'll never forget!! A magical day at the perfect moment!!

Holland is 8 Months!
Oh my goodness, she is just the cutest little thing!
-She is SO close to crawling (as I'm writing this she is crawling, but at the time she turned 8 months she wasn't crawling just yet).
-She's great at using her walker and gets everywhere she wants to go now.
-We finally got her on a great sleeping schedule. She is in bed and asleep by 8 or 830 where before it was closer to 11! Finally Trevor and I get our evenings back! Haha! We were enjoying the baby snuggles, but it was time!
-We celebrated our first Family of 5 Christmas!
Here's a peek inside our month!
This was the only photo I got on Thanksgiving! We had a great Thanksgiving. We saw family, played outside since the weather was beautiful and everyone came to our house to help put together a new playset for the kids! They got an early Christmas present this year!
Holland and I had our first brunch with friends! I'm sure it won't be our last!
I just love when these two read together!
Remembering Great Grandpa as we swing in the swing he built on our new playset!
Truth be told....this kid needs a hard hat just to live! HAHA!
Sweetest smile!!
Crafts for Christmas!
The boys and I made a trip to the Gathering Place one afternoon. I call it my date days! I drop sister off with my parents and we go do something fun and then go to lunch together! I love having that quality time with the boys!
Sister fell asleep in the car on the way home, so the boys got out super quietly and went to their own rooms to nap and I hung out and worked in the car until sister woke up! Never wake a sleeping baby, am I right??
And then it was all of a sudden Christmas season! We usually give the boys new pajamas on Christmas Eve, but last year we did the Polar Express. Since the Polar Express encourages you to wear PJ's, we gave our boys their new PJ's the day we did the train ride. Since it was closed this year (well, they weren't actually doing the train ride part) we decided to give the boys their PJ's early and all watch the Polar Express together! It was a great family night and they were SO EXCITED for their new PJs! I was ready for a little Christmas spirit, so this is just what our family needed!
I'm always a sucker for a picture of books and babies!
It wouldn't be Christmas if we didn't make a trip to Rhema to see all the lights! It was even more magical because there was snow on the ground (I'll blog about our amazing snow day soon)! We even had a fun snowball fight!
Just some fun photos!
Trevor's brother and family made a last minute trip to Oklahoma. It was so fun getting to hang out with them for the week! We played a lot of ping pong and made a trip to the Gathering Place! Our boys love when their cousins are in town!
What a fun and exciting month! I tried to make the most of every day doing fun Christmas things but to be honest, I didn't get through half the activities I had planned! It's okay though...I now have all the supplies I'll need next year to execute them! Haha!
Up next, our first Christmas as a family of 5!!! January style! Haha! Or our fun snow day! I haven't decided which one yet!
