Second Week with Miss Holland!

Our second week started by Trevor going back to work...well, kind of! He was working from home in the morning and helping during breakfast and lunch time and then he actually went into his office after lunch to work. I was SO THANKFUL he was working from home in the morning because we were still getting used to a routine and trying to get everyone fed and happy can get chaotic around here! Haha! Thankfully the weather was nice so we were outside a lot and we went on several adventure walks which was great for all of us!

The boys got to help Great Grandma in her garden and pick some strawberries.

Miss Holland was the only one of us that was dressed cute everyday with her bow on! Haha!

I just love these two and their special bond!

I'm not sure how she does it, but she slept through the boys playing with legos multiple times! Haha!

Working our way to tummy time! I seriously LOVE these books! I think she enjoys looking at them too!
She really is the perfect model for my book biz! Haha!

They already have such a special bond! He asks to hold her every day. The other day I was in the bathroom and Holland started to cry. Brooks ran in there and started talking to her. He kept saying, "it's okay baby Holland, mom will be right back. She's just going to the bathroom. It's okay!"

Love this little boy!

She's just the cutest little thing!

The boys love building forts and then bringing their flashlights and shine-a-light books in there.  Holland had a long nap that morning, so it was nice to hang out with just these two again.

My jeans fit! It's a miracle! They are not anywhere close to comfortable, but they fit and I could stand to wear them for about 5 hours! Haha!

So sweet!

Matching Flamingos!

For Mother's Day we got Trevor's mom a tree, so Trevor and the boys helped to plant it.

They did a great job!

Haha! When dad's in charge your bow gets turned around backwards and covers your whole face!

Our 2nd week ended with Mother's Day! My kiddos (aka, their dad) spoiled me rotten! I sure didn't mind it! I got the SWEETEST cards and gifts and I got to spend the day with these 3 who call me mom!

Trevor’s Birthday!

This guy right here deserves to be celebrated everyday!! His birthday was a little taken over this year but we did our best to make him feel loved and so special!

His birthday celebrations all started on Saturday. The boys and I went ahead and gave him his gifts early as a “just in case the baby comes.” And we usually do a big celebration with his dad’s side of the family but with everything going on and us about to be in a hospital and things, we decided to do something small. Trevor’s dad and his wife brought us Lasagna that night and I made a dessert. Right after they left I told Trevor that we need to probably head to the hospital. I didn’t want to interrupt dinner since I hadn’t officially counted how many contractions I was having and I REALLY wanted dessert, haha!

So we headed to the hospital!

I’d say the interruptions to his birthday weren’t all bad! He got this sweet baby girl! I did feel a little bad that his sleeping arrangements weren’t ideal and on his actual birthday he woke up in a hospital and we spent most of the morning just waiting on people. Haha!

While waiting on people we decided to order some food from a new restaurant to try for his birthday lunch! (We had our fingers crossed that we’d be out of the hospital but then!) Lone Wolf was delicious! Holland was sleeping so we just parked by Guthrie Green and ate in the car! Again, I felt bad that his birthday lunch was in a parked car, but at least the food was delicious!

It was around midnight while in the hospital about to have Holland that it dawned on me...I never had the boys finish their cards to their dad for his birthday! We already did gifts, but I was planning to give him his cards on his actual birthday! Wife fail! So I’m texting Trevor’s mom while in the hospital asking her to have the boys create cards for Trevor and explaining where all my arts and crafts are! Haha!
They turned out so good!

They were hanging on the door when we got home and she had decorated our whole house with flowers and balloons to celebrate Holland and Trevor! So thankful for her!!

That evening Trevor’s family came over for some gifts and of course to hold the baby!

I know I joked a lot that week about his birthday being taken over, but I think he had a great week! He got to snuggle this sweet thing...

He went on a lots of adventures with the boys...

We tried another new restaurant called Nola’s which was delicious!

He got to give Rhett a haircut (which he’s been dying to do for awhile)...

He got to build things...

And he got to be home and spend time with his family

I guess Trevor and Holland will have a special bond and get to always celebrate their birthdays together!

In all seriousness, I don’t know what I’d do without this guy! He is the most amazing husband, dad, friend, son, leader! He is the hardest worker I know and he loves me unconditionally, even when I’m a little unreasonable! We love you so much Trevor! (Maybe he’ll read this one day! Haha!)

First Week with Baby Girl!

I’ve always done a blog post about our first week home with new babies, but life is a little busier with 3! So, here we go, 2 weeks in!

We were really excited to get home and introduce Holland to Brooks and Rhett! Brooks has been so interested in little sister since I got pregnant that I was so excited to introduce them. I’ve honestly been a little nervous about Rhett. He has not exactly been excited and has actually been the self proclaimed baby forever! Haha! I knew I needed to be careful with this one, but I was still so excited for them to meet!

When we pulled in the driveway, Brooks wasn’t asleep for his nap yet, so he came outside to greet us with the BIGGEST smile on his face! We brought the gift from Holland and Holland and asked what he wanted to see first and he voted to see his sister first! Haha! But was also VERY excited about his gifts! He named his panda Bruiser.

It was nice to get a little one on one time with Brooks and Holland. This little boy made me cry almost the moment I got home! He introduced himself to his sister. He said, “Hi Holland, I’m your brother and I’m going to protect you and teach you things, like how to read.” Seriously cue.the.tears! I was a mess!

Rhett woke up from his nap and he was actually really excited to meet Holland! He actually chose to see Holland before opening his gift too. He opened his gift pretty quickly after. He named his pig Bacon.

I was surprised he wanted to hold her, but so excited!

He seriously asks to hold her every day, first thing when he wakes up.

Trevor had to work on some things in our new shop, so I wore this sweet girl and played with the boys!

Enjoying the weather!

We got to zoom and introduce our lifegroup to Holland. Love these people!

She’s the cutest little thing!

We enjoyed the beautiful weather with a nature walk.

The boys got to draw anything they saw.

First bath at home!

Little angel! Not a fan of the bath yet, but she sure slept good! Speaking of sleep, she’s definitely had a couple fussy hours, but this little girl is the BEST sleeper! We’ve had to wake her up to eat most of the time in the middle of the night. And thankfully she goes right back to sleep!

I always love a little comparison! Brooks, Rhett and Holland- first bath at home!

We had to get this wall build between the garage and what will be our game room. So this took up 2 days of our maternity/paternity leave.

Little lady slept through it all!

The boys were a big help during all of this too!

I wanted to do something fun and one on one with the boys, so chalk paint it is!! They had a blast!

Worker bee Rhett

Finishing the wall! Wahoo!!

Full laps, full hearts!

One week in and he finally gave her a kiss on the cheek! Now he asks to give her a kiss every night! It’s adorable!! He says “baby holland” the CUTEST way! I need to get it on video so I never forget his sweet voice.

Such a proud big brother!

Miss Holland, you are the perfect addition to our family! We love you SOOOOO much!! You have the BEST big brothers and the most amazing dad! Time, slow down so I can bask in the baby snuggles forever!!
