Goodbye House on Indianapolis

I grew up in the same house the majority of my life. Then, after my Junior year, my parents decided to move and it happened to be a really unique house. It was almost six-thousand square feet and it had some of the craziest features-a boardwalk in the atrium, two spiral staircases, a pool, hot tub, and sauna, access to the pool from the master bathroom and 136 windows!! My parents lived there for 9 years and we definitely enjoyed it while it lasted. However, earlier this month it sold and they have officially moved out. It was such a unique place that I wanted to post some pictures of it and share some of my memories there!

  • During my senior year I basically had two bedrooms. It had so many rooms and my brother was in college, so I took over a few. I had a bedroom and a tv room!
  • In college it was always a fun place to stay especially during the summers and winters because it had a pool for the summertime and a hot tub for the winter. I probably took more advantage of the hot tub.
  • After college and after Trevor and I got married Trevor and I lived in the cabana/pool house. I had just moved back from Missouri and we weren't sure what was in store for us. When I got my job at Union we decided to build a house. We were so thankful that we had a place to stay while we were figuring out our next move and while our home was being built. Our bedroom was in the pool house and we made the game room above the garage our living room!

Such a fun house!! Two people living in a house don't need six thousand square feet though...they would lose each other! We definitely had some great memories there, but we were ready for it to sell! Goodbye House on Indianapolis!

The Last Couple Weekends

I love summertime! I get to relax, clean, workout, walk the pups, catch up onshows, anything I want during the week and on the weekends I feel like we are booked solid! Last weekend we had a couple things going on.
First up, a bunch of Phi Delts were in town for a golf tournament thing they had set up. The golf tournament was scheduled to take place on Saturday and on Friday they had a big get together at The Hard Rock. We (Trevor) was not able to participate in the golf tournament, but we did go and hang out with everyone on Friday.
I loved seeing all these guys and catching up!

On Saturday we had to wake up really early because we had to head to Kansas. My cousin's wedding was taking place that evening on my grandma's farm. I usually only see this side of the family during Christmas, so it was great to see everyone and catch up mid-year!
Where the ceremony took place...so pretty!

It's hard to see, but the hay bales say Carley & Spencer

It was extremely windy!

But that didn't stop the beautiful ceremony!

Onto the reception...

They weren't so nice!

My handsome date.

First dance

My amazing grandparents dancing!! They won the contest on who has been married the longest!! 62 years!! I love them so much and they are such a great example on what to strive for in a marriage.

This past weekend Trevor had a guys weekend planned at Spider Creek! I don't think guys take that many pictures...so here is the only one I saw.
They looked like they had a great time! While the guys were gone I got to hang out with the pups, plus I dog-sat for one of the guys going on the trip. His dog is actually related to Whiskey! They have hung out a few times and they just have a blast together.

Two peas in a pod!

This guy was not so thrilled about having another big dog around the house! I'm sure this was him saying Whhyyyyyy!

I just love weekends!

Cheer Camp

My responsibilities as cheer coach have officially begun! This past week was cheer camp and it was definitely a new adventure! It was a 3 day/2 night camp at OSU. We left Tulsa on Tuesday morning around 8:30, got checked into our dorms - my girls stayed in Allen, got settled in and headed to the Opening Ceremonies.
North girls about to load the busses

Both 8th grade teams about to head to Gallagher.

All the BA teams at camp! Both 8th Grade Teams, Freshman Team and JV Team

With the coaches

Overall, the first day went really smooth! Better than I was expecting. That night a couple girls were a little homesick, but we made it through!

Day 2: I loved their cute outfits with their spirit gear on!

The second day had a few more bumps in the road. Right when we got to Gallagher one of my girls tripped up the stairs and scraped her palm, knee and the bottom of her toe. There was a lot more blood than I wished to see! So the first aide staff got her all taken care of! Shortly after that, one of the girls wasn't feeling well, so we took her temperature and she was running a fever of over 102! So needless to say, she ended up leaving camp early. Then, when the girls were practicing stunts, one of my girls got hit in the head and when the first aide staff checked her out, they said she may have a slight concussion. Ahhhh everything comes in threes! Luckily, the bad lucky stopped there!
I had to leave early on the second day because Trevor had bought us tickets to see Wicked before I had accepted the jobs at BA!
Soooo good!!!!

Thursday morning I drove back to Stillwater to be with my team on their last day of camp! They really pulled together the last day and did a great job during their final performances!!

Broken Arrow definitely didn't come home empty handed!! Lots of trophies and ribbons!
BA 8th Grade North walked away with Most Improved, Game Time Top Team, Superior Ribbons and a Spirit Stick!

So proud of these girls and what they accomplished and I'm so excited to see what this year has in store!
