Gobble Gobble Day!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends! Ours was delightful!
To start things off, in my classroom on Tuesday we did a couple math problems and then colored turkeys! If they solved their math problems correctly, their turkeys should look something like this...

How cute are these!!

On Tuesday evening we had a girls Friendsgiving at my house! We had lots of great food and even better company!!

delicious!!
On Wednesday I was so excited because I finally got to sleep in...although I actually ended up waking up rather early, it was nice not to have to wake up to an alarm! Trevor worked from home that day so I decided to make us some delicious breakfast...I am now addicted to egg in the hole! (Thanks Pioneer Woman).

Whiskey learned a new trick this past Wednesday as well. He learned how to get in his dog house! ;)
I know that seems a little odd, but the dog house is kind of high, so up until now he hasn't been big enough to jump in. Even now he has to get a running start in order to make it in there, but he seems to like it now and he loves playing in there!

That night we went to another Friendsgiving at my brother/sister in law's house! I didn't get a single picture from that evening, but we had a great time hanging out with family and meeting some new people!

On Thursday we had Thanksgiving lunch with Trevor's mom's side of the family and after lunch we celebrated Trevor's moms birthday and my sister in laws birthday. After more food and cake Trevor left to go deer hunting and I stayed and went shopping with his family. My parents decided to go to Kansas this year, so I didn't get to see them on Thanksgiving. On Friday I did a lot of shopping! I usually do not partake in Black Friday shopping, but I did get out a little this year! The experience wasn't too crazy for me! Also, an exciting thing happened on Friday night, mine and Trevor's friends Katie and Andrew got engaged in Chicago!! CONGRATS to these two! Such an exciting time!! ;)

Saturday was the bedlam game...we all know how that turned out so I won't say much on that topic, however, we did get to hang out with a great friend!! LOVE YOU RITCHIE! Thank you so much for having us over!

On Sunday Trevor and I had another Thanksgiving lunch to attend with his dad's side of the family and then we set up our Christmas decor. Part of my shopping excursion on Friday was to find new Christmas decor! Since this is our first year in our new home I decided I wanted to get new things for our home. Last year we just put up what was given to us, so I was excited to pick out all new things this year!
Here is what we have so far...

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! Only 4 weeks until Christmas break!!...but whose counting!

North Dakota

So as many of you know Trevor is in North Dakota on a hunting trip with his dad, great uncle, and a few other relatives. So I am home with the pups. Since Whiskey is still just a puppy I have to wake up about 10-15 minutes earlier than I normally would, which isn't too much fun. Trevor is really good about training him (working on basic tricks right now) in the mornings and at night, however, I don't have time in the mornings to work with him and he is just so hyper in the evenings. All he wants to do is eat and play with Winston. So needless to say, we haven't accomplished much this week! Luckily he has only had one major accident in the house since Trevor has been gone.

So I don't know much about Trevor's trip other than North Dakota does not have Sprint towers so his phone does not work. So when we talk I have to call his dad/he has to call me from his dad's phone.
It's very very cold there...I think one day the wind chill was -8! I also know that they have shot limit every day and they are hoping to keep those statistics! And I know he is having a good time and he sent me a couple pictures...

Just thought I would share...I'm sure when he gets home I will have some more pictures to share!

Time Flies When You're Having Fun

I can't believe so much time has passed since I last blogged. Life has just been crazy and I don't see it slowing down any time soon! I had some time to relax and breathe today, so I thought I should catch up on work and blog a bit! Since Homecoming weekend work and home life has been busy busy! As of last week I started tutoring after school. So I stay at school a little longer 2 days a week and I have a small group of students come to me for an hour or so and we go over objectives from 5th grade to hopefully catch them up to 6th grade objectives. Some of the students I have in class already and others are from a different team. They seem like a great group, so I'm excited to get to do this. My team also had to plan the first assembly for the 6th grade. So we were a little busy getting everything prepared for that. One of our talented students sang the National Anthem and she did a fantastic job! I love knowing that young students are involved in the arts, even though I am the math teacher I try to stress the importance of extra curricular activities in the arts!
Last weekend I went to Dallas for a great friends bachelorette party...and Trevor went to OKC for the bachelor party. I don't have any pictures from Trevor's adventure, but I do have a couple from mine.
The Beautiful Bride-to-be!!

My wonderful roommate for the weekend!! ;)

What a fun group of girls!!
When we got home from our trips, Whiskey helped us with the laundry...

He is getting so big!! He is almost 11 weeks old and he weighs just shy of 20 pounds!

This weekend was the Schemmer/Neafus wedding and it was a blast! Trevor left for North Dakota on Friday morning, so he was unable to make it to the festivities, but I still had a great time!!
